Theme

Modern dark interface with optional light theme support.

Default dark mode palette: deep plum-blue background (#1E1E2E), coral accent (#E94560), mint success (#4ECCA3), blue info (#4A9EFF).
Light theme support is available via Settings → Dark theme toggle, with a restart required to apply it.
Rounded cards, soft borders, and consistent control styling for primary, success, danger, and info actions.

Quality & resize

Image quality: JPG / WEBP includes a 1–100 quality slider, defaulting to 85%.
Video quality: MP4 output supports a CRF slider from 18–51, where lower values mean higher quality.
Resize: width × height controls where 0 preserves the original aspect ratio on the active dimension.
Available for images only, keeping the design simple and predictable for visual workflows.

Export settings

Output folder: browse manually or save next to source files.
Open output folder instantly after conversion to move to the results quickly.
File naming: add custom prefix or suffix values to every generated output.
Strip metadata: remove EXIF, GPS, and camera metadata before saving.
Overwrite existing files: if disabled, Kryval creates numbered backups such as file (1).png.
After conversion actions: open folder, play a notification sound, sleep, or shutdown after confirmation.

Queue system

Drag-and-drop support for files and folders, with a large empty-state prompt when nothing is added.
Add files or add folder actions support multi-file selection and recursive scanning.
Queue columns include thumbnails, file name, size, target format, and status icons such as pending, success, error, or skipped.
Inline remove actions and right-click menu commands for open file location, properties, and remove from list.
Clear all and clear completed actions help keep the queue tidy and organized.
Changing target format updates the target column for all queued rows automatically.

System integration

Always on top pin control keeps the converter visible while dragging files from different folders.
Taskbar progress updates during conversion with a visible green status indicator.
Show in folder links appear in the status bar when conversion is complete.
Windows right-click integration adds “Convert with Kryval” to files and folders using HKCU registration without admin privileges.
While the app is open, right-click requests are forwarded to the active window using a single-window architecture.
Remember last-used settings such as format, output folder, quality, and window size across sessions.
Cancel the operation via the cancel button or Esc key.

Donation system

Persistent support button in the title bar for quick access to donation options.
Milestone popup appears after 50 files or 1 GB of converted data with a “You’re doing great!” moment.
Options include Buy Me a Coffee, Maybe Later with a 7-day delay, or Don’t show again.
Settings can disable the donation popup permanently, and donors are not shown the prompt again.
